Gökçin Aras, the Founder and Chairman of ÜÇGE Group of Companies, who passed away on August 17, 2022, was commemorated with love, respect and longing at the ceremony held at his grave in Bursa Fethiye Cemetery and at ÜÇGE companies. His family, ÜÇGE Board of Directors, managers, employees, friends and loved ones attended the ceremony.
Born in Ardahan Göle in 1954, Gökçin Aras settled in Bursa in 1967 upon the appointment of his father, who was a teacher, and laid the foundations of his business life by manufacturing shelves, which he started in a small workshop in Hürriyet. The manufacturer, which broke new ground in Turkey with its innovative vision, left its mark as an exemplary businessman from which the business world is inspired by creating a Turkish brand that shapes the sector and is trusted by world brands globally.
At the commemoration ceremony held at ÜÇGE's Bursa Işıktepe OIZ factory at 10.00, ÜÇGE Board Chairmen Damla Aras, Can Aras and ÜÇGE Group of Companies President Esra Güven made speeches.
ÜÇGE Chairman of the Board Damla Aras said, “We came together here today to commemorate our precious father and founder Gökçin Aras. A year has passed since he left us, but his traces, values and legacy still live in our hearts and in his works. Gökçin Aras was not just a business person, but a leader, a mentor and a visionary who encouraged us to achieve higher goals in every situation. His perseverance, passion and determination have become one of the cornerstones of our success today. We still feel the pain of losing our beloved father deeply. All the memories we made with him always continue to inspire us. In the light of the solid foundations laid by Gökçin Aras, his vision and the values he left behind, we, as the second generation representatives who undertake the management of the companies, will move forward with the aim of furthering ÜÇGE's vision of global leadership and creating value for the future and keeping its legacy alive. One of the most important lessons our father taught us was to create a family beyond the business world. We are grateful to all of you for being here today. Following the ceremony at the factory, the Holy Quran was read and prayers were said at the memorial ceremony where Gökçin Aras's family, ÜÇGE Board of Directors, employees, friends and loved ones came together at the grave of Gökçin Aras in Bursa Fethiye Cemetery. Carnations were left on the grave by family members and loved ones.
