Korteks Mensucat Described Automated Warehouse Systems at the Intralogistics Summit

ST Industry Summits, held at Istanbul Expo Center between 20-23 December, brought together industry professionals and hosted more than 16 thousand visitors. The Storage and Intralogistics Solutions Summit, organized within the scope of the event, attracted attention by hosting valuable speakers from the intralogistics industry. Korteks Mensucat Business Development and Project Chief Büşra Tunçman, who started her activities within Zorlu Holding in 1989, contributed to the sector with her presentation titled "Digital Transformation Decision in Storage" at the first event of this year.

Sharing the motivation behind the Fully Automatic Warehouse AS/RS Project implemented by ÜÇGE DRS and the efficiency outcomes obtained, Tunçman became the center of attention of the participants. The reasons for the transition to the automatic warehouse system began to turn into a success story full of challenges and solutions in the intralogistics sector.

Fully Automated Storage Solution with Operational Efficiency

Focusing on the problems arising from the disadvantages of the floor stacking method, Tunçman touched upon issues such as long search times, on-time delivery problems to the customer and insufficient storage space. The Fully Automated Warehouse AS/RS Project, carried out to overcome these difficulties, aims to both reduce the need for labor and make warehouse operations safer and more efficient.

The decision behind the transition to an automated warehouse system stands out as a result of innovation and a solution-oriented approach to the current challenges in the industry. The presentation, which attracted great attention, emphasizes the importance of digital transformation and automatic warehouse systems in the intralogistics sector. The project, implemented in cooperation with ÜÇGE DRS and Korteks Mensucat, continues to be a source of inspiration for the sector.

Environmental Benefits of Automated Warehouse Switching

In her presentation at the ST Industry Summits, Korteks Mensucat Business Development and Project Chief Büşra Tunçman shared the significant gains that the transition to the automatic storage system provided for her companies. Stating that they saved 437,839 kWh of energy and 189,146 KgCO2 carbon footprint annually, Tunçman touched upon the cost advantages as well as this gain in environmental sustainability..

Space Efficiency Provided by Automatic Storage System

Tunçman emphasized that, as a result of the transition to the automatic storage system, they achieved a significant space gain by impressively reducing the storage area of 26,250 square meters to 3,750 square meters, and stated that this situation had a positive impact on the operational efficiency of the company.

Automatic Warehouse System Behind Economic Gains

Touching on the economic gains achieved by minimizing pallet damage, Tunçman stated that they achieved a profit of 5 million 659 thousand 500 TL with repeated use thanks to the automatic storage system. This means a significant cost reduction and resource efficiency in warehouse operations.

Büşra Tunçman completed her speech with the satisfaction created by the transition to the automatic storage system within the company. This information clearly demonstrated the various advantages achieved with the automated storage system and shared an industry-leading success story.
